Lets Join the parties again

Our ex-prime minister Sushil Koirala has passed away today. He might not be the best and popular leaders we had but he was certainly very different. He was not  bad if not good. While there is/was always-soft core for NC in me, I am/was never a blind supporter. The corrupt and sick mentality of people leading the party and many times the sear importance of being in a party with thugs leading and weapons dragged for no real reason had deterred myself and perhaps many of our friends from the party system, whether in NC or not. No doubt many enjoyed the situation for many reasons but most of them were scarred and scared. What I have learned in these long years is that a new group with like headed may not always make up to the mark. A good example is the rise and fall of Mawobadi party and the unfortunate fate of million dreams. Structuring a brand new structure to develop into a party was way too difficult than everybody thought. The spectacular disintegration of Mawadi party is a message to many. It takes time to evolve a group into a party and a party into an administrative body equipped with characters to run the country. The failure to deliver by Aam Adami Party in India is other example. I have a mindset change and I would like to urge others to ponder about. It is important for us to be in a party now to represent the party and share ‘our’ thoughts. I know it sounds odd and crazy but there is no way sitting back and searching ways to improve the situation. Thugs, looters and bullies should not run a democratic country. The pellet throwers, gun waggers may ignite revolution but they should not be the future of the country. There is a dangerous trend in our party system that we hear from the top order and change our views. While one shares similar thought with the party, it does not necessarily mean one cannot have a different view and go for it. Whichever party wins a country should never lose. A country may change but never lose if all the parties are filled with progressive, educated and creative thinkers. It’s important for us to infiltrate parties again for good. It’s important that you represent voices loud and clear. There should be a clear professional approach to a party and a very critical approach to partie’s decisions. It is time to join your favorite parties again and for good. It is going to be a long and arduous way but we want to see the change in our generation.
